The Innovative Power Products FCT series tubing is ideally suited for medium voltage terminations from 5kV through 35kV. It has specific electrical characteristics to supress the electrical field at the cable’s semiconductive insulation shield cutback. This specifically engineered tubing provides a high discharge extinction voltage (DEV) when properly applied to a cable with a suitable void filling material at the step. Its resistive and capacitive properties will increase the discharge extinction voltage to an acceptably high level to insure long life and reliable performance.
