About:
The Innovative Power Products MVBTR series busbar tape is a heatshrinkable all purpose tape that provides insulation and flashover protection for round, square, and rectangular busbars rated 1-15kV. MVBTR is a track-resistant halogen free material to insulate and protect the busbar systems from environmental pollution and from accidental phase-to-phase or phase-to-ground contact caused by animals or other external factors.

MVBTR series adhesive coated, medium voltage heatshrinkable tape for insulating bolted busbar, straight and bend bars where MVBT tubing cannot be used. MVBTR is made specially formulated, radiation cross linked, halogen free, low smoking, flame-retardant, tracking-resistant polyolefin compounds. The normal phase-tophase and phase-to-ground clearances apply. MVBTR provides flashover protection and meets the flame retardancy requirements of ANSI C37.20 and UL94 V-2 and UL 224 VW-1.

• MVBTR busbar tape is factory engineered to provide fast and easy installations with reliable performance. All MVBTR tapes are designed to meet or exceed the requirements of the applicable sections of ANSI C37.20 and UL94 V-2 and UL 224 VW-1.

• ANSI/IEEE specifications: One layer application up to 15kV

• IEC specifications: Two or three layers application up to 15kV

• A 2/3 over lap is recommended

• Bolted Connections require two layers of tape

• Continuous operating temperature: -25°C to 90°C

• Shrink Ratio of 1.00 : 0.70
